A holiday breakfast is a ritual in exploration, connection and nourishment. No menu to plan, no plates to clean. Just step out and find a breakfast that starts the day right.

Kirra Point is surrounded by some of the area’s best breakfast cafes - just outside your door.

From air light pastries to a breakfast with the works, served with a perfectly brewed coffee - Kirra Point is breakfast central.

Made Coffee & Barista

When you’re craving an excellent morning coffee and simply can’t wait, Made is waiting to wish you a good morning just steps away.

This local espresso bar offers 100% organic specialty coffee by local bean aficionados Moonshine Roasters, a cold drip brewed for over six hours, pure organic matcha and a cabinet filled daily with fresh pastries, banana bread, cookies and more.

Grab an easy breakfast and find a shady spot in the park or head down to Kirra Beach.

Alternatively, take on the full Made experience and sip your favourite brew while getting a fresh new cut from one of Made’s resident barbers at Double Blades Barbershop.

Love Street

The Iconic: Love Street

1 Churchill Street - 4 minutes walk

Kirra’s stunning beachfront surroundings call everyone outside to start the day. Love Street is ready and waiting, offering an iconic local breakfast experience, hidden away around the corner.

Love Street is inspired by Australia’s epic love affair with surf culture and the simpler times of days gone by.

Share in the community’s zest for life, Kirra culture and a great breakfast. The entire family is welcome.

From farm to plate, dine on spiced chai porridge, vegan waffles or a good old fashioned bacon and egg roll. Wash it down with a coffee, smoothie, tea or juice.

Haig Street Cafe

Laidback Kirra Breakfast: Haig Street Cafe

28 Musgrave Street - 5 minutes walk

A little retreat of wholesome food and good coffee in the heart of Kirra, Haig Street Cafe is the epitome of Kirra’s laid back lifestyle.

Views of the water, patches of grass for a picnic rug breakfast or street-front tables to enjoy one of those magic holiday morning moments together.

Old favourites like french toast, buttermilk pancakes and green eggs and ham are offered alongside more modern options like the green bowl, sweet corn fritters and smashed avocado.

There is a true sense of community about this breakfast hot spot. From Haig Street’s focus on feeding the less fortunate to the team greeting local regulars with their favourite coffee.

All Day Kirra Breakfast: Cayman Café The Strand

72-80 Marine Parade - 7 minutes walk

Amongst the hum of The Strand, Cayman Cafe offers a position to relax and enjoy a delicious all day breakfast.

Just across the road, a children’s playground and the beach beyond make Cayman Cafe the perfect place to start a family beach day.

Try one of the cafés limited time specials, fuel up on an energy bowl, sip on a barista-made coffee or elevate breakfast with an open salmon and avocado bagel, then pick up some perfect protein balls to snack on throughout the day.

People watch from the white timber seats or grab some goodies to go and eat breakfast with your toes in the sand.

Laidback Mornings: Board Short Barista

Corner of Dutton Street and Marine Parade - 4 minutes walk

This aptly named, hole-in-the-wall breakfast cafe personifies beachside breakfast goals, largely thanks to its location in the Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club.

Board Short Barista is a collection of tables stretched out across the grass, bathed in the morning sunlight, with the beach just beyond.

Embrace the natural sweetness of a Detox Smoothie or a robust morning coffee as a takeaway on your morning walk, or wrap your hands around a bacon and egg brioche or acai bowl and eat it while watching the morning action of the club. The Board Short Barista team is laidback and genuinely friendly, ready to put a smile on customers’ faces.

Holiday Breakfast: Bellakai

82 Marine Parade - 4 minutes walk

Southern fried chicken eggs benedict, sweet crêpes with summer fruits, truffled scrambled eggs or honey glazed halloumi - breakfast is served at Bellakai!

If you can make it past the counter display of perfectly baked pastries, you’ll find a menu of breakfast foods that transcend the ordinary.

Simple white decor set on an outdoor dining space with glimpses of the ocean, Bellakai offers a sense of place. A holiday breakfast in Kirra!

A Little Luxe: Griffith Street Larder

85 Griffith Street - 5 minutes walk

A black and white cafe canvas is punctuated with wooden tables and pots of hanging plants. Sit inside or people watch from the street as you survey the menu.

Go simple with sourdough toast and house made jam and the perfect cup of tea or coffee, nourish your body for the day ahead with a super salad or harness your inner New Yorker with an American-style toasted sandwich.

A larder was originally a cooler room used to store meat but by the 18th Century, it had expanded to a storage for bread, pastry, milk, butter and more.

Embodying the simplicity of its namesake, the Griffith Street Larder takes simple, good food and brings it into the modern day for a deliciously unforgettable breakfast.

Farm Style Kirra Breakfast: Rockleigh Cafe

112 Griffith Street - 8 minutes walk

The honest goodness of a farm fresh breakfast is but a walk away from your Kirra Point door.

The exterior of Rockleigh Cafe is reminiscent of a cute, white cottage positioned on a tree-lined street.

Inside a wooden barn style wall and L-shaped bar set the tone for a scrumptious breakfast.

Rockleigh Cafe is renowned by locals for its loaded bagels and Gabriel Specialty Coffee.

Match a piccolo of beetroot, chai, turmeric and plain old coffee latte with a caramelised onion breaky bagel, zesty benedict bagel or stacked veggie bagel complete with pesto cream cheese.

Vanilla Lily

Kirra Vibes: Vanilla Lily

110 Marine Parade - 8 minutes walk

This boutique seaside cafe and cocktail bar adds a little sophistication to a relaxed Kirra-style breakfast, overlooking Greenmount Beach.

Vanilla Lily takes consciously and locally sourced ingredients and transforms them into menus of authentic food, amazing coffee and beach inspired drinks.

Choose from classic beachside breakfasts like avocado toast and eggs benedict or sample something sweeter with two thick pieces of french toast, fluffy pancakes or Vanilla Lily granola.

Sip your chosen morning brew from under the umbrellas on the terrace overlooking the ocean and plot out the remainder of your Kirra day.

Breakfast signifies a new beginning. The time when the day is still full of opportunity. Why not begin with one of those breakfast experiences that will live on in memory - for the food…and the company.

Kirra Breakfast: The Bread Social

12 Bay Street - 21 minutes walk

The story of The Bread Social began with three friends. Friends who are passionate about organic Australian ingredients and artisan baking techniques.

Let your nose guide you to a cute wooden crate stool at a sidewalk table, or directly inside to cabinet upon cabinet of organic sourdough loaves and fairy light buttery pastries.

Choose a rye and caraway loaf, herb flatbread, fruity pastry that will make your morning lighter or go all out and indulge in a signature hamper of bakery delights.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion on your holiday, choose from The Bread Social’s fancy cakes. Perhaps an apple tarte tatin, baked white chocolate cheesecake or frangipane tart.

Every morning started at The Bread Social is the beginning of a very good day.
